Diversity and Global Understanding (UNO – City Vienna)
Within the framework of the ACUNS conference held in the UNO – City in Vienna, TermNet and the United Nations Studies Association (UNSA) organized a two-day pre-conference workshop series about “Diversity and Global Understanding”.

FairPlay. Against Discrimination in Sports (Graz)
2010 is the year of the World Cup in South Africa. Within the initiative ,Fair Play' from VIDC (Vienna Institute for International Dialogue and Cooperation) Go4Diversity carries out activities against discrimination in Austrian football and sports and demonstrates strategies for migrants and locals on how to handle it. Both the Caritas Graz-Seckau and the Africa Center rank among our project partners on site.

Information Days on Health (Vienna)
In cooperation with TermNet (the International Network for Terminology), the European-Chinese Society of Medical Communication (ECSMC) and with the support of the MA 17 (Vienna Municipal Department 17 - Integration and diversity) the Austrian Commission for UNSESCO organized the Health Information Days 2010 for migrants in Vienna. Medical doctors and experts from different health domains were invited to inform the participants about relevant health issues and introduce the facilities of the Austrian / Viennese health system.
The Health Information Days 2010 was held on November 13th and November 14th and focused on Chinese, Turkish and Serbian migrants:
- On November 13th, the Austrian Commission for UNESCO organized the Health Information Day with the Serbian and Turkish communities at the Association of Viennese Youth Centre, Schlachthausgasse 30/7, 1030.
- On November 14th, in cooperation with the European-Chinese Society of Medical Communication (ECSMC), the Austrian Commission for UNESCO organized the Health Information Day with the Chinese community at Schulschiff, Donauinselplatz 1, 1210 Vienna.
Furthermore, this event served as an informal platform for migrants to seek advice on personal health problems as it also offered information and advice in various languages.

Linguistic and Cultural Diversity (Parndorf)
Within the framework of its research on language awareness in Burgenland’s primary schools, a study group of the University of Vienna has conducted workshops for pupils and their parents addressing multilingualism in schools. Their results will be presented in cooperation with the College of Education in Burgenland on 13th December at 16:30 at the primary school of Parndorf, Burgenland.
Discussion Meeting on the Integrative Potential of Soccer and Presentation of the Documentary Film “Kick im Park” (Hauptbücherei Wien)
The idea of this event is to discuss the integrative potential of sports, in particular of soccer, with experts from politics, science and with practical experience. Furthermore, the documentary film “Kick im Park” portrays an exceptional soccer tournament taking place in Graz in June 2010.
